Coverage & payment
Ottawa Dentist Accepting CDCP
Sunset Dental Centre in Greely, Ottawa accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). This page explains what the plan is, which treatments we bill to insurance directly, how you can pay, and how financing works.
We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan
Sunset Dental Centre accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). If you are a CDCP member, let the clinic know when you book.
What the plan covers, and what you may pay, depends on your plan. Ask about any costs the plan won't cover before treatment begins.
What the CDCP is
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a Government of Canada program that helps make dental care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents.
Who can apply
- Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000.
- You do not have access to private dental insurance or coverage.
- You, and your spouse or common-law partner if you have one, are Canadian residents for tax purposes and have filed your tax returns in Canada for the previous year.
What the plan pays
- Adjusted family net income under $70,000: the plan covers 100% of CDCP fees.
- $70,000 to $79,999: the plan covers 60% of CDCP fees, and you pay 40%.
- $80,000 to $89,999: the plan covers 40% of CDCP fees, and you pay 60%.
CDCP fees may not be the same as what a dental office charges, so you may pay a difference. Some services need approval from the plan before treatment, and orthodontic services are currently not available under the plan.
Plan rules can change. Check your eligibility and current coverage on the Government of Canada CDCP page.
Direct billing to your insurance
We bill insurance directly for check-ups, cleanings, fillings and extractions.
Direct billing is not available for implants, orthodontics, veneers, crowns or bridges. Check what your plan covers before treatment.
Payment methods
We accept cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard. We do not accept American Express.
Financing through Beautifi
Financing is available through Beautifi, a third-party financing company. See financing options
Published fees
Fees are listed on the Dental Implants, All-on-4, Permanent Teeth, Implant Dentures and Porcelain Veneers pages. Final treatment needs and costs are confirmed after an assessment.
